The Gift of Togetherness

When the Panda met Miss Bunny, she said

‘my you have a nice coat to wear’

Miss Bunny replied back

‘as you do too, Miss Panda bear’

Then Mr Porcupine waddled in

To make a formal greet,

Miss Bunny said with a smile

‘he sure keeps his hair, straight, and very neat’

And at that moment Mr Opossum arrived,

pink nose and not much flair

and proceeded for a moment to play dead,

but no one seemed to care

And as the day progressed,

many more joined in, attired in their own fashion,

And generally speaking,

they acted with mutual Kindness and compassion

Then came along little boy Blue and his friend Daisy Mae, to ask of them all

in their rather diminutive voice,

by any chance

‘have you seen our ball’?

The panda looked at rabbit,

the rabbit looked around,

the others seemed to acknowledge,

that nothing had been found

Daisy Mae with a gentle kindness,

gave thanks for their time, and blessings for their day

They reciprocated with sounds

of the forest, and well wishes,

as they went upon their way

Finally Mr snake who had slithered in,

was the first to bid,

a good adieu

And left quite silently

As he was apt to do

Then as they all had gathered,

so would they depart

to cozy in for the night

and await a new day to start

Another day had seen the sun come,

and stars soon to shine

Gods creatures having met briefly,

All with kindness on their mind

Perhaps if there was a moral to this short story, it might be;

That when Gods creatures are together in mutual respect and cooperation

as the only way to be

Then they all can have the sense of Peace and Love

And live in harmony
