Today was a bit different,
a friend of mine had moved on
I felt a little empty inside,
while I lie in the dark,
awaiting a new dawn
For the new day will arrive,
that I can cast my eyes upon
But I’ll never forget you my dear friend,
even when you’re gone
I needn’t say ‘ rest in peace ‘
because it’s something you learned to do,
long ago
But the the times I will cherish,
when I think of you, I just want you to know
So may you be in the arms of GOD,
and feel his warm embrace
His gentle kindness,
and the soft glow,
of his ever present grace
