Lord, Just Me Asking

Let the day bring what it may,
its choices provided,
can bring subtle and often,
abrupt surprises.
The sun will set,
the clock will keep ticking,
while the moon gracefully,
once again rises.

No matter what we receive,
or what we perceive,
or what is placed,
upon our plate
Moments pass,
both slow and fast
Even when we stall
or hesitate.

And in the end
what depends,
is how you lived
and how you treated others
with kindness and respect,
mindful of Karma,
not hoping to recover.

Blessed are those
whom would choose to give,
rather. . .
than what has been taken
to lend their hand,
or their time,
in moments of need
and not just forsaken.
