Ode to My Lord

Let the gratitude be ever present

Allow love to be what fills your heart

Show kindness, to be given freely

Feel soul and share its beauty as your part

Relive the happiness and pass it on

And know where all that is good

Is available and provided, as it should

Thank you LORD

Punctuation?

Trees that line the street as the winter breeze blows

through their nakedness and moves along without looking back

A few old leaves caught in a corner there until winds shift

and a quiet empty sense of nothingness and nothing to grasp

A solemness deep inside and clouds hang as silhouettes

lit by the light of the moon in the nights sky

A dream a remembrance though vague comes to mind

as if just passing on its walk as it meanders on by

A twinkle from a star a street light trying to show a way

the sounds being heard someplace far away

The eyes see beyond what can be seen and the ears hear more

than there is a gentle silence eerie but okay

Within its capsulation a sense of being alone

one amongst present and what had come before

To think what may be ahead the thoughts of an infinite set

and what may be or what is in store

A subtle nudge a whisper that you may have heard

the touch you may have felt and a chance turn around

Things that have been forgotten or left behind

those that have been lost when actually already found

Not a parable or a story or a confusion within a paradox

or a challenge to be conquered

A clarity that appears as nothing and is what it is not

anything more or less and no longer blurred

It’s that most minute moment that may not be held onto

or saved for another place or time

Rather a brilliance grasped just for you

where all the parts fit together just right

A continuation

Approaching

The slide into winter, as the days grow shorter,

and the lengthening of the nights.

The temperatures dropping downward, and much grayer in sight

Preparations being made, with gifts being wrapped and given bows

With sugar plum fairies dancing, but still a bit to go

Awaiting the appearance, of the man dressed in red,

and hopes of more snow

The sound of sleigh bells, and a hardy

Ho Ho Ho

The awakening patter, and the rustling about

A child’s tee-hee, to see what could be found

A look to the table, to see if cookies and milk were gone

Surely enough, just crumbs on a plate and an empty glass,

we’re all that was found

The smiles from adults, the laughter and the joy

The paper crinkling, the oohs and ash’s, of a new toy

Then the many days of shopping, and wrapping gifts galore

The piles of paper around the tree, while sitting on the floor

Then on to a cup of hot cocoa, and a cookie or two

A time to play with new gifts received, while sharing a few

Then onto the next holiday, soon to arrive

Goodbye to the past, hello to the new year, with eyes open wide

A time to begin again, so it is said, and resolutions to better oneself

Put all decorations away, up on a shelf

Such As It Is 🌟

To suppose that it would or would would not be,

would also be of no consideration if we’re left up to me

The choices to be choose, if one were to be chosen

Pre disposed, as if I was supposed to translate an illusion

Not always to be understood or to understand

It just my my way, my muse, and not always a plan

So if I voice undirectional, of a seemingly derisive direction

It may just be the moment, my statements not meant,

with any preconceived intention

Often just a ramble or just some babble, for my amusement,

that I might share

My own entertainment, sometimes given out,

it’s just my affair

Today’s Non-Thought

Thank you, Sri. Harold

The thought nonexistent, a void to be recognized,

only after passing by

An awakening, without wondering, exactly, “where was I?”

An amazement, to realize, only after,

that nothing can exist, no matter that I try

Not out of a dream, no visual appearance,

even with, eyes-open-wide

I can not imagine, that which wasn’t there,

as if it the finite moments of time

Or the vastness of endless space, not available, and no need to find

Such is a the gift of GOD, peacefulness, and clarity

Where no decisions need be made, and no responsibility

If you choose not to believe, without empirical evidence, to see

Then try and realize, nothingness, a gift given, a place “just- to-be”

MAY THE BLESSINGS BE
