May I inhale life’s spirits of times past,
and exhale the wisdom  they represent

Void of all thoughts unpleasant and unkind,
replaced by happiness that becomes the new state of mind

One of love, peace, and understanding,
Where kindness is the greatest virtue, of my considering

If a smile should be forgotten, or my appreciation not be realized,
allow me a subtle nudge, that I may open my eyes

May each moment be greeted, with peaceful content,
give thanks to the Lord, and move onto the next

And let there be some small fascination,
with each blink of the eye,
settled in, with a relieving sigh

Yesterdays has gone, tomorrow has yet to arrive,
knowing all Is good, as long as I’ve tried

AMEN

You don’t need a weather man
to know,  just how cold
Just some fingers, toes,
and a red rosy nose

How much snow has fallen
and drifted about,
a shovel will help you determine that,
while you are out

The cables you carry
in the trunk of your car
maybe it’s one of those days,
not to venture to far

We’ve been here and done it,
many times before,
and as Minnesotans,
it becomes part of our lore

So let’s settle in
Perhaps a hot cocoa to grasp
Grab a good book
and turn up the thermostat

As it is our ilk
To opine, and complain
It’ll be just another day
Stay warm in its refrain

A happy minus reading to all 😰😊

Moving through the holidays
always touch’s upon the emotions,
thoughts begin with dreams of delight,
Love and our devotions

But as I sit in reviewal,
of past wondrous occasions gone by,
I find myself remembering,
and a tear comes to my eye

The happy times of the past,
indelibly etched, carved out of stone,
thinking of times around the tree,
with the family all at home

But now as I’ve grown older,
I’d like to pass on
what I adored for so long
cherishing the times with love ones,
relishing in their joy,
not thinking of the future,
for soon they will be gone

I offer to you in gratitude, in the humblest of ways,
enjoy, and embrace, these times given you,
these are very special days

Gods blessing to you,
and may kindness fill your heart,
and the love you have experienced,
never find you, to be to far apart

AMEN

As I fumble and stumble and fall about
my life, I always find a way,
to grab hold, stand up,
and remain upright

Not always comfortable,
sometimes nervous, and unable to sit still,
reaching out for the things,
that I hope will be real

But what the heck, the next moment,
has just came and passed,
many more to come, I guess it’s better,
that they don’t seem to last

Perhaps it’s an indicator,
of how quickly times can change,
within the blink of an eye,
nothing may be the same

So if you’re feeling a bit down, sad or blue,
let a tick of the clock
be a sign,
that all things, can become new

Stay ahead of the past, and turn to the next page
Let your eyes and mind be fixed in the moment,
upon which you gaze

For your path is one,
of many steps to be made,
the only one that matters
is the last one you’ve laid

The dynamics by which life is made, perceived and diagnosed,

the large parts, and the smallest, of which sometimes mean the most.

 

Always vacillating, in a centrifuge, always about to change,

to understand why we’re in constant need, to find and rearrange

 

But as I’ve grown older and hopefully wiser by my examination,

my mind settles much easier, with no longer a need, for further exploration

 

For me my awareness, has become more defined and acute,

often I see ‘ It for what It is, quickly, clearer, and more resolute

 

There are those whom must speak and others whom opine

not to be misunderstood, but without comment, I let it pass, I’m doing just fine!

 

And there are those that think there’s a problem, when I can’t remember,

oh contraire,

I just may not be of the thought? , that it’s something to consider

 

On the other side, it reduces all the plates, spinning overhead,

finally I can say ‘ it’s much easier’ being happy then worrying instead

 

So for me I remain as I am, undeterred and seemingly resolute

even if not understood, don’t wait for an apology, or to be rebuked

 

I ask only, that the Lords blessing be bestowed upon you and I ,

that we can settle in, with a smile, and a comfortable peaceful sigh🌟

 

MAY the BLESSING BE
