Sometimes I’ll have the TV on, as just a mere distraction
The cling and clang in the din, seems to be of some attraction
Other times, complete quiet, to help ease my mind
Even with a storm outside, I’m within myself, hiding from inside
Loneliness is not a friend, or a way I choose to be
But often is the case, it is the only place, that you may find me
An ethereal state of consciousness, that I cannot explain
Drifting in and out, through many, a different kind of plane
Now that I found someone, there is a newness in my step
A feeling that I glide, rather than plod, because of who I’ve met
Thank you Roxanne 🌟
