Ask for What I Need

All the things that happen in our lives,
most will be forgotten and some you hold on to
Some require more than one thought,
a weighing of sorts, to decide what you’ll do.

The whittling down to hone our own truth,
to decide if it really mattered at all.
Forgoing or developing an opinion,
then agreeing with yourself, it’s nothing to recall.

I find it much easier when I let go,
and let it all just pass
With an empty basket to carry,
and my feet being tickled, in the grass.

There is the beauty of the new born life,
and the death of a family member or friend.
Those whom eat from a silver spoon,
and those who’s pain, never seems to end.

So much existing in the centrifuge of our lives
And sometimes no answer found,
no matter how much you have tried.

So as the search continues,
in every moment throughout our time.
From whence we came, until we’re gone,
the one thing different, is what’s in our mind.

It is at any given point, only ours alone,
uniquely individual, if we like it or not.
And not to correct the world,
rather just to do, your given part.

If by chance you need to runaway,
and perhaps cry or hide
Forgive yourself quickly,
God knows that you’ve tried.

As you awake, to the presence of a new day.
Give it your smile as your gift,
as you go along your way.
I must give all I can
Ask for what I need.
