dew drips slow and graceful from the petal,
sweetness of a rose passes gently by
air surrounding its bits of crispness,
as the sun joins with the sky
darkness recedes,
moving to the west,
the the other side to view
The night has passed,
to lights awakening,
with all things again to renew
Another beginning, the past in tow,
the future ahead with the opening of an eye
A new thought passes, ideas begin,
just more moments, to wonder why
Time needn’t remember, it’s busy moving ahead
Waiting for no-one and offering no regret
Rather it lives within the moment,
as its only choice
Finite in its movement,
and a vastness it cannot avoid
Time is truth that takes with it,
each and everyone
Offering but what it is,
pure and unchanging,
tirelessly never done
So I’ll spend the time
given me to admire the dew,
and smell life’s beautiful scents
Enjoying each sunrise,
and admiring the sunsets
Amen
