The crown of winters skies,

falls brilliant colors passing by,

thoughts of the coming,

and alas, a calming sigh

 

The air crisp and cooling

fallen leaves dancing, swooning

with the music of the wind

an awaiting change looming

 

Fire places warming

sparks frolicking and jumping

Kinda like,

children having fun and playing

 

Aromas from the kitchen

cocoa on the stove heating

cookies in the oven

all very intoxicating

 

A time to relax and contemplate

when the world around is frozen

no fancy to step outside

rather a good book to be chosen

 

An evenings makeup,

nestled in early darkness

settled in a blanket

of ease and comfort

 

And so goes the journey

around the corner we go

Into yet, another adventure

and the seemingly never ending cold

Sleep is a blessed time granted, a step away from the oft bluntness, of the awakened mind

Dreams filter in, every once in awhile, perhaps to enlighten, but sometimes, seem quite sublime

In the darkness and stillness, a time alone, without advice, opinion, or others perceptions

A time of emptiness no palette or pattern, or those offering they’re guidance and directions

A sigh, ahh and breath, relaxing the regrets, setting aside, the feelings of despair

A time to drift gracefully, nothing concerning, or in need, of attention or care

A space given where nothing need be figured, slotted for engagement or assignment

But a slate that is vacant, away from human behavior, no wasting time, to put it all the pieces into alignment

Allow the Sun to set, the stars and moon to adorn, settling gracefully upon your mind

Not to figure out answers to questions, instead taking the time, and leaving it all behind

Allowing a moment to reflect, as your eyes slowly close, leaving it for another day

Giving the time to refrain from the past, while you go gracefully, upon your way

May you sleep in the graces of God’s embrace

History replaced by arrogance. . .
by a pompous ass
It was most interesting,
grand in the decision
and idiocy in the change,
a question of intention,
seemed very strange
A new thought perhaps,
With ties to a feeling,
a challenge to grasp,
I just can’t believe what I’m seeing
An idea from conception
that has seen no admiration
with disregard by a man
an imbecilic- moronic- cretin
Go build a bridge in the desert
you foolish putz
leave history in its place
if you weren’t aware by now
let me tell you in the simplest way
no one could be, a bigger disgrace
If you desire to tear stuff down
start with your hair that looks like
that of a clown
embarrass yourself, leave the rest of us out
the world laughs at you
but I assume you feel proud
A bit of advise to you,
the sweat in the pucker of an elephants ass
you truly are someone
literally without
The smallest of class

Beyond the wrinkles and the sag, the gray that adorns,
intelligence that has ebbed, there is wisdom,
and a kindness, ears more able to hear what has-been said

Eyes that have softened, a view of its vast past,
with no presumption of the future, having no appearance,
just a smile subtle and gentle, meant to nurture

A touch that is not grasping,
but soothes in a natural way,
a direction that is not anxious but happy,
a willingness to stay

Words softly spoken, sometimes not easy to hear,
hopes you’ll might find love in your heart,
while you wipe away a tear

For I am getting older, but should not be thought of as old,
know that my blessings are with you, wherever you/we may go

In this moment love is eternal,
a light upon our paths,
even when our hands no longer touch,
our love for one another will always last

Although my eyes may not shine as brightly,
there’s a smile inside I hope will show
that our times together, always brought a peace,
and a warming glow

Goodbyes never need be said as God’s children,
we will always be together,
prayers to communicate,
and our memories to be remembered

To my children, friends, and all that have loved me

A walk in a forest, providing imagination,
the ripples on a pond that brings out the calm,
a warm rain reviving, beauty of a delicate flower,
a fireplaces warmth and charm

A babies smile when it grasps your finger,
the purr of a kitten as you caress its fur,
a plant from a seedling now full grown,
a dream when awakened, allowing a glow

the finish of a job, that is well done
Sleeping in, with nothing to do or a place to go,
not a worry that dwells upon the mind,
a moment that lingers with all things secure,

True love between two, the definition of best friends,
a touch that brings to you, both peace and happiness

To sit with a feeling, of tranquility and settled calmness,
of what I should do,
a bit of indifference, letting the passing,
of all things, I must let go

A time without definition, without reflection,
determining a path by which to go,
rather a sitting in the moment, with a smile,
allowing life to flow
