The Day Started

The day started, frosty, and bitter cold.
My thoughts were of encapsulation,
and how long the winters road

The ideas of pasts evolving, and thoughts of what used to be,
so much hardship that was endured,
compared to you and me

Gathered around a fire, a ring made of stones,
a blanket shared, the warmth of two,
two lives, and perhaps two souls

I’ve pushed the button, and soon coffee shall await
for my lips to taste,
turned up the thermostat a bit,
and replied back to God for all of his Love and grace

So in reflection of times gone by, and the gifts,
I often fail to see.
A gratitude of appreciation,
for all that has been granted me.

Just A Day

Dreams are a presentation with no responsibilities, or obligations

Not a need to act upon, what is often, just evolving interpretation

Oh to share, I learned long ago, opinions of others, are nothing but another’s ideas

In fact the realization is only up to me, not a conclusion, or needed panacea

Our experiment, within our lives, of on going tests and trials

Often disregarded with refusals, and of the many denials

So let your dreams just be, no need to share,

Let the trials happen, you’ll be just fine, should you choose to stay aware

A Tree and Her Gift

The adornment once provided in her many forms,

and shapes

The shade and coolness from the sun,

a chance to dream under, give to escape

And autumn leaves of a varying array

Reds, yellows, golden, and brown

Worn as a masterpiece, its beautiful appearance,

gracefully as her crown

The sometimes mystical extensions of her branches, reaching up to the sky

A wave from her friends, the clouds, with grandeur, slowly drifting by

The beauty of a white cotton sheet, laid down upon her feet

An insulating assurance, and later food, to make this step complete

The winter is never humble and can place a frosting on the soul

But she manages, year after year, until it’s time again, a time allowed to grow

Then as temperatures begin to rise, and warmer days begin their march

Fine buds of green begin to adorn its mother

And fill her branches out

As leaves start to unfurl, a vast field of green,

A new generation given for the viewing, for all to be seen

Then onto the summer, with some of the ladies, providing flowers as well

Lasting for a short time, now within her arms to dwell

Then once again, the festivities of fall,

She’ll let her beauty fall unto the earth

Falling gracefully back and forth, the winds, guiding, to the Lords gentle rebirth

So one more time around the sun

And all her presence that has arisen

With her partners, Sun, cold, rain, and snow and all that she has given

JUST A START

The Presentation

The morning dew as it gently settles, upon Gods scape,

the sun shine performs its glistening affect, a vast the colorful array

As the light on the horizon, proceeds on its arc through the sky

And flowers turn their faces, as she slowly passes by

A cricket slowly climbs a blade of grass, and then another on its way

And looks to achieve, yet one more, and so goes the day

A bird sings a melodious song, then is spoken to by others

The sisters and brothers joined together, ones of a feather

A solemn cloud passes by softly, to find others with which to band

Reuniting together with like minded, to perhaps give Gods nectar to the land

And then the sound provided, by a heavenly orchestral ensemble

And possibly a light show seen, while feeling skies rumbles

And as their party ends, and the sun starts again, to show its light

The glisten reappearing, and the beauty felt inside

All will bring a smile, one that can be simple and not contrived

A feeling of gracious happiness, and one that makes you feel alive.

No Title Needed

The New Year

A turning of a page

Maybe a party

Perhaps a new birth

And another time,

around The Sun

In this home

We call Earth

That past

reexamined

For better

Or for worst

A time of

Celebration

We take part of

On the first

To commence

With new ideas

Not like

Before

Maybe just to find out

That often

Less

Is more

There are those

We will take along,

If only

In our heart

As time

Moves along

They’ll be moments

That we all must part

There will be

Pride and joy

As new ones

Join our presence

That can bring

the feelings,

of Love

And so much happiness

So many

Other things

That could be,

Spoken about

But left

For each of us

To remember

And to recount

With arms

Open wide

And nothing

Meant to find

And with blessings

Let all that happens

Fall gently

upon your mind

So as we step

Into the unfolding

Of this

New Year

May you find

All that is kind

And much

you can cheer

A Happy and fruitful New Year🌟🌟

GOD BLESS US
